Just to tell you a little about the Thomas family. Gale and Elaine have been married for 14 years. We each have two daughters from previous marriages; Jackie, Jennifer, Suzanne and Melana. They are grown and live with their families in the Kansas City area.
As an accountant, Gale’s past work experience includes insurance, book publishing, motel, restaurant and presently a furniture company. His hobbies are collecting John Deere tractors (all ages and conditions), Aladdin lamps, and attending auctions and flea markets. He also likes to fix machinery of all kinds.
Elaine's hobbies include reading, cooking, gardening, swimming and sewing. With many years of sewing experience, she now is mostly busy with home decor for friends and family. We take advantage of any opportunity to spend time with family, especially our grandchildren.
We are both Christians and attend church every week. Elaine is involved with choir, missionettes, and serves on the Women's Conference Committee each year in charge of the decorating. Gale is a substitute bus driver and helps with maintaining the church property. We both enjoy travel and have been on several mission trips during our married life. Among our travels, we have visited Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico and Alaska.
Our home has a country flair and is furnished with a life-long collection of antique furniture, dishes, tapestries, and lamps. Lots of books, small appliances and toys which you will see in our home when you visit. There is a fireplace and a piano for those who wish to play (or practice). The dining room has a turn-of-the century side-board where you will enjoy your breakfast with a well appointed table, tablecloth and cloth napkins, china and fresh flowers. There is a large deck in back where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors sipping lemonade or flavored iced tea. We have a 20'X40' pool that is fenced which is available for guests in the summertime. We enjoy people and want to offer our hospitality to make your visit comfortable and memorable.
